What have you learnt about the technologies from the process of constructing the product?

To create our final product we had to a number of new technologies which we had not used before. All of the technology we used was very helpful when it came to filming and editing our piece as it means we were able to achieve better shots as we were before in our preliminary task.

We used an HD camera with an optional manual focus. By using this HD camera we were able to achieve a better picture quality than other camera can produce. However the quality is not as high as the quality achieved in professional films as they have a large number of very high quality films for different shots. Although our camera was not as high quality as we would have likes we were still able to get the shots needed.

Another technology we used to improve our film was a tripod. These allow you to keep certain shots steady and you don't have to hold the camera to get the shot you want. It is a very simple solution to many problems and can make a film look a lot more professional. 

Another very important piece of technology is the editing software we used for the film. Our group decided to use iMovie because we were already aware on how to use it. Without this software we would have to complete the filming in one take. With having editing software it means we can film a large amount of different shots and choose the parts of the shots we want to use the most. The editing software we are using is not as high tech as the editing software professional companies use, however we were able to edit it to achieve the look and shots we wanted.
